Help removing body panel and right front brake lever SOLVED!

Post by BudWhite »

Hello folks,
I am going to repaint my Buddy 125.
Got everything removed except for the lower body panel.
Do I need to remove the front tire so I can slide it down and out?

The front right brake lever got damaged when I dropped it.
Is there a guide somewhere I can use on how to replace it?
I searched and everything I see is for the left rear brake lever.

Help please. Thank you.

That is how we just did it on two scoots, drop the front fender, remove the front wheel - the scoot will stay on the center stand and rear tire so if you are careful there is no need for blocking. Look for the last two screws behind the rear front fender, turn your handle bars hard each left/right to access them.

I got the lower body panel removed.
Thanks MYSCTR.

As for the right brake lever. It was VERY easy.
1 nut/bolt and I was done in 5 minutes!
Pic attached in case anyone runs into the same problem.

Great picture! Glad it went well. Be sure that your brake lever once installed triggers your brake light and releases when you let the brake off.

If you find your brake light stays on - you may have the brake lever too tight or pinched. It will still operate the brake yet when released the light may stay on. Not a big deal, just adjust the lever nut. This happened to our daughters 125 and took a while to figure out that was all it was.
