So I just wanted to quickly post a thank you to everyone who has posted tips and technical details on this forum. I have had problems with my 2013 Buddy 125 and have used this forum to it's fullest potential.
My Buddy would stall when I came to a stop, would not hold a charge and lost all kinds of power. So I studied everything that every has said about each situation and narrowed it down. I have saved over $500 because of the knowledge that I have learned from all of you.
I changed the oil and filter. I have cleaned and jetted my carb. I have checked my battery and changed my spark plug. I have tested my stator to make sure it was holding a charge.
Most importantly today I fixed my scooters issues with a 5 minute fix. I adjusted and cleaned my valves and my Buddy purrs like a kitten again. I got quoted $220 for the diagnostic of the problem and to fix the valve issue but with a $7 gauge and 5 minutes of my time and studying on this forum I fixed it myself.
Thank you Modern Buddy and the members here for all of your knowledge.
Sincerely,
Kevin

NICE! Always good to hear when people can get the info they need and have the gumption to go for it! There really is a ton of information here and as you have shown if you take some time you can save a bunch of money.
Plus...doesn't it just feel great when you get it fixed yourself!
Remember that if you get stuck don't be afraid to ask questions!

Outta sight!
That is one of the coolest things bout this forum - friendly folk helping folk get back up to speed, literally.
And Buddy Raton is spot on - fixing it yourself (especially after seeing the $$$ that could be involved) is one hell of a great feeling. More than once I pulled off repairs to both mah old scooters guided by the scooter folk here.
