Replacing Brakes

Post by Hey Buddy »

I have a Buddy 50 and had to get the front brakes pads replaced. The scooter only has 27XX miles on it. It is driven in the city during rush hour, stopping at almost every light along the way.
I do not think this would be normal. Have other people had to get new brake pads? How many miles did you have when they were replaced?

That's about how long my YZF brakes lasted... the BMW went longer than that before needing new pads. At least it's an easy change... what $30 for pads and 30 min in the garage? How long they last is all dependant on how much work they do... more stopping + more weight + ????? = how long they last. solve for ????? and we'll all know what to expect from front brakes.
