Brake Light Mod

Post by Dage'sVew »

Hey Guys! Since Voodoo Scooter Parts is no longer active has anyone taken over offering plug 'n' play light modifications! Someone over on facebook's "Scooter Ladies" admired my flashing brake light mod and wanted to know where she could get one. Any help? Thanks!

How about this one:

I bought his deadlight kit and it worked pretty well.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...

Scooter Works is offering a plug and play deadlight kit for a very fair price now. I bought mine from ScooterWest for a bit more than the Scooter Works kit. I wonder if they install the same?

For brake lights I've always used Hyper-Lites. When my warranty expires on my Buddy I'll install a set under the rear rack OR do the SHAD led trunk base since I always run SHAD trunks/top boxes. I think the SHAD option would be easier and cleaner looking, but the Hyper-Lites would be brighter and better at getting attention from car drivers.

When switching to led's, with these kits, isn't a resistor or flasher relay thingie necessary to keep the bulbs from "racing"? Do these kits compensate for that?
