Logging in and getting kicked out.

Post by sc00ter »

So this login issue is slowly getting worse. You go to sign in. Enter your user name, password AND CLICK ON REMEMBER ME. You now have a 70% chance of being able to post. If not, you get locked into a loop of signing in, posting and getting routed back to the login screen.

I know this site went down before and all of us Genuine owners kinda panicked. Some of us even went to Modern Vespa to panic. Eventually Eric brought it back (Thank You Eric!) and we fully realize that site issues happen. So if your'e having issues logging in click on Remember Me after entering your user name and password. I know this was posted in the Forum How-To's but for the longest time I've never had to click on that. Just posting this as a reminder to help others login if they're having trouble and didn't look thru the How-To section.

If this posted as a new thread than I'm still in the 70% success rate. I have a Chrome book if that matters.

I use a PC and the Opera browser and I seem to have to login every 1-10 days.

I believe the site has been having some issues since it came back online. I assumed that I was getting logged off when the site was getting worked on. But I don't know anything about how these sites work.

It took me a bit to figure out how to stay logged in. I also am not very computer savvy. I've heard others say they were having problems logging in and that's why they quit posting. I hope this thread helps people who are having this same issue logging in (Weirdly my phone log-in is fine, and that's Android based) to check the "Remember Me" box after entering your name and password. So far that works for this Chrome Book user.

Knowledge is power, and this website has helped me so many times with the rare Buddy issue, and I hope I've helped someone with my postings.

I have the same issue when using Edge or Chrome. It seems to be better with FireFox.

As a side note, the links for service manuals seem to be dead.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...
