Better rear end lighting for '05 and '06 Buddys too?

I posted the following info about improvements to my GT200's rear lighting on the MV forum... However if you have an '05 or '06 Buddy that uses standard type bulbs in its tail and brake lights, get the bulb type numbers and maybe you can then replace them with super bright SMT type LED bulbs available from the V-Leds site link below... These inexpensive new type LEDs throw out considerably more light, and at a lesser current draw too!

My Vespa GT200- Greatly improved brake light, with improved tail lights too, after I ordered from V-Leds their red 921-SMT 13 LED Brake Light bulb (replaces 912,921,916,906), and replaced my 2007 GT200’s brake light with it... ($12.49)

WOW! –What a difference! It’s got 10 LEDs on its hexagonal sides and 3 more on its end, and it is BRIGHT!
When a brake lever is pulled this sucka comes on like a rear red headlight! (And if I do eventually get a brake light flasher it’ll probably look like a police gumball machine when braking!)

I also replaced the running tail lights with two 74-SMT High Power Red Wedge Base LED bulbs (replaces 37, 74) and stuck these on in place of the stockers. (Two for $3.99)
These, because they don’t have any side LEDs, only glow straight back but they’re still brighter and better IMO. The previous white stock bulbs gave off a soft orangey diffused glow behind the tail lens, while these LEDs stand out with two gleaming red points. I like them because they’re not only brighter and better seen in the daylight, they also make the tail lens glow mightily at night too!

And all these bulbs draw less current than the stockers!
Just make sure you order the SMT type bulbs, as these new LEDs are really many times brighter than the older style LEDs that first came out!
