5 ft tall-Will the Buddy work for me?
I am too short for any vespa. The Honda elite and People 150 fit me as well as the Vino. The closest Buddy dealer is more than 100 miles away. Are there any 5 foot tall Buddy riders out there?

i'm almost 5-2 and have close to a 28 inseam. the bubby was the shortest of all the 125/150 choices including the people 150. the buddy fit me better than the vino but not sure of stats. there are older scooters out there that are also short and we have one, an 81 spainish lambretta jett 200. but no matter how fine condition it's in it won't be as reliable and easy to use as a good quality new scoot.

have you sat on either of the scooters you mention? i'm 5'2" and the kymco scooters sat pretty high cuz of the larger size tires. like louie, i have a buddy and am able to touch. also, the kymco is a heavier scooter than the buddy.
however, find the scooter that you want and serves your needs, you can always get the seat shaved down; you might want to take that into consideration when you start narrowing down your options.

Justgottascoot has a good review of the Buddy including most specs. Their info says the Buddy weighs 223 lbs.Tahoma4me wrote:I can't locate the weight of the Buddy online. Anyone have that?

I'm also 5'1" (112 lbs) and I've only been riding a Buddy 125 as our first scooter for 3 weeks now. At first I wasn't getting both feet on the ground at stops, but after trying various places on the seat like sunshinen suggests I'm not having any problems feeling comfortable coming to or leaving a stop/corner. It just takes a little practice that builds confidence. The Buddy really is balanced nicely.
