Squeeky front wheel?

Post by basilhayden »

I have 93 miles on my '07 rattler and today while riding around the block doing a little breaking in, I noticed a squeek in the front end when coming to a start and starting. Stopped in the driveway and inspected. The front wheel squeeks when turned slowly and it doesn't really feel like it rotates freely. Does anyone know how easily their front tire spins? Is there a little friction or does it spin effortlessly? Thanks.

I haven't heard of any squeaking from the front wheel (yet) on the BuckTen, but anything's possible. Could need the axle greased? I've got 1300 miles +/- and no front squeak.

This is a very common problem that's usually the result of dust or dirt in the brakes. Unless you feel a difference when braking or accelerating, it's totally harmless.

I noticed the same thing on my Buddy when pushing it around in the driveway. It felt like there was a little resistance going on, but I'm glad to hear it's not super serious.

Still, if it has been squeaking this entire time, how do I know what normal Buddy brakes feel like?!
