New one on me.
I was riding home late this afternoon when I felt something hit my left hand and bounce off the toe of my left boot. Before I knew it, my left mirror was swinging freely. The left bracket that held my Prima windshield broke right through the hole where the rear view mirror holds it. I didn't have time to go to Tulsa Scooters tonight, but I'll get by there this week to see what options I have.
Anyone else break a windshield bracket?

Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
Yes, that is an NRA sticker on the fender.

Yep, my Prima windshield bracket broke off a few months ago. Tulsa Scooters stuck it back together so I could use the windshield until a replacement came in. However, after a month or so, it broke for good and the replacements they received turned out to be the standard Buddy windshields (a little smaller than the Prima).Anyone else break a windshield bracket?
I held out until I got tired of being whacked by the wind and then just had them put on the Buddy windshield (free replacement). IMHO, it works just as well as the Prima in spite of being a little smaller (mainly thinner--I initially noticed wind hitting my shoulders but never enough to bother me). I looked for another bracket for the Prima but have yet to find anything that would fit! Good luck!

Just be careful what you use loctite on... It can cause over tightening, which can break plastic parts such as body panels and windshields.

Ah, good point, and if you go to the store to buy "Loctite," you may confuse the nice salespeople. Loctite, is now associated with a brand, rather than a product. You may have better luck asking for "threadlock." Again, be sure to ask for the BLUE threadlock. The grip of blue threadlock can be broken with hand tools, whereas the grip of RED threadlock cannot.ericalm wrote:Just be careful what you use loctite on...
