) getting my variator replaced with an overrange one (dont bother it removes kick start and offers almost nothing over original!) and i saw 3 guys with 125 yamahas getting their brakes upgraded.Nothing unusual in taiwan as everybody has big brakes and HID's on everything, but this was just stupid and utterly pointless.
The bike was slower than most scooters as it still had the stupid 16g rollers the dealers put in to stop them accelrating to quickly, he had mega expensive suspension front and rear which i would let him off as maybe he wants good handling, but these brakes.....
they are the BIGGEST calipers you can get and i mean H U G E, plus they cost about $200+ without the bracket, to make things worse the brake is so big it can barely fit on with 10'' wheels so they had to modify a 180mm disc to fit, the caliper is a hairs width from touching the wheel!.
Im all for pimping and upgrading but this is the most stupid upgrade EVER, the biggest kick in the balls is that he used his old hose and brake lever so it feels like crap and is about 4x worse than my old setup.
i upgraded my brakes as my bike is so fast i really needed them, then when i did i didnt bother going for something stupid, i put my sensible hat on and got what i needed!.
