Is that the new attraction at Universal Studios? I live 2 miles from there. Don't know if Krustyland is enough to get me to go again... but it might be...

Awww KRUSTY, sorry for the hurt feelings. Couldn't resist---it was just sittin' right there, so I had to take a wicked swing at it.

No hard feelings, pleez.

From today's LA Times:
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD (UNIVERSAL CITY)

The $40-million Simpsons Ride, which opened last week at the movie and television theme park, has amusement-park junkies and Simpsons' fanatics salivating.

The simulator ride, which replaced the Back to the Future attraction, takes visitors on a careening journey through the low-budget Krustyland theme park. Played out on an 80-foot-tall domed screen, the bizarre storyline retains all the dysfunctional wackiness of the animated television show.

The line, which will be long, should prove as entertaining as the ride itself -- with dozens of Simpsons characters manning Krustyland midway game booths throughout the queue.

Yep. I have been once. As an amusement park, it kind of blows. The studio tour ride is the best part, but not something you'd want to go on every year.

i was there with my family a couple years ago when they still had the back to the future ride....that sucked. but we really liked the jurassic park and mummy ride. they had the water effects on full. got some pics with the super heroes and such. my family is a bunch of ride junkies so we've hit up disney, universal and knotts every year or two since my youngest daughter was born, she's 9 now. so we've been to the L.A. area quite a bit, but we plan on saving up big and spending 3 weeks in the orlando area, next year, hitting up all the parks there. maybe even drive up to williamsburg. i went to Ft. Eustis, so i know the busch gardems park there pretty well, although it's been about 8 years since i've been to that one. :clown:
