Thanks for the interest! I've been working on a final paint scheme on and off for a weeks now and I've got it all settled. I'm looking to paint on Saturday unless something comes up like it has the past few weekends. I'll be sure to post pics as soon as she is complete!kilted texan wrote:BB, did you ever decide if you were gonna paint it up?
And Othergods, I don't mind if you steal it as long as I get to do it first!

You have a way of reading miiiinds.... and now you're making me re-think my position! I debated for a while between a grey and green scheme and settled on green, because it didn't seem to "take itself as seriously" if that makes any sense? Then again, if I'm going all out with the bad-ass-itude, maybe I should really go all out...runtotorun121 wrote:I know this might not be as ominous-seeming as the black, but have you thought about a nice dark gray to complete the awesome shark theme??? I think the teethy options are the best of your options.
Okay, the deal is you guys will know the final paint scheme when I post pictures of it completed!

Number 1 is the best. Very ironic. The 1st American Volunteer Group (The Flying Tigers) was trained in Burma to defend China against the Japanese in WWII. How fitting that a Taiwan scooter could sport the same scheme. Totally awesome. I think I'll have to buy one just to paint it this way. By the way, here's your Jeopardy question for the evening. Anyone know why the bellies of the real P-40 Warhawks were painted blue?
Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

Spray paint for plastic
I've been checking because I want to paint the interior of my pink buddy. Here's what I've found out....the Krylon Fusion is sold at Ace Hardwares, JoAnn Fabrics Stores and Michaels Craft Stores and some small hardwares. I actually contacted Krylon because they show a color online I wanted to use and I couldn't find it, they sent me a list of retailers and said I couldn't buy directly from them which sucks because I now can't get what I really want, no one has the color. As far as Lowes and Home Depot go, Lowes now sells Valspar paint for plastic and Home Depot sells the Rustoleum paint for plastic. I've painted lots of things and I'm telling you, go with the paint for plastic........BIG DIFFERENCE!

I've been thinking about this. If you decide to go with the flying tiger look, you could use a few of these: http://www.bullet1.com/images/gallery/page3.htm
Maude Lebowski: What do you do for recreation?
