First Buddy weekend, I think I need to return it....

Post by 7eregrine »

BECAUSE I CAN'T STOP RIDING IT!!!!

My grass didn't get cut this weeked, didn't get any weeding done, didn't play with the dog, all I did was SCOOT SCOOT SCOOT!

I love this thing. Called my friend up and she's like "well, well???"
I said "one question.... WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!!!" hehehe

Kept asking my wife "Need anything from the store?"
"We could use some toilet paper" ZOOM, I'm off.
Come back "anything else we need??"
"Ummmmm we could use some beer for the party tonight?"
ZOOM, off to the store! She's really liking me having this thing. hehe
Took the really really really long way home (like the complete oppostie direction!).

Totally loving it! Have to admit this, too. I read that post about singing on your scooter... Thought to myself... "no way would I be singing on my scooter".... Coming down Rocky River Drive late Sat afternoon and it happened... words started escaping my lips...
"People of the world! Join hands! Join the love train! Love train!".
hehehe

Oh, I also had some woman yell at me from her cage "Get a real bike, bitch!". From her cage she says this. To far away for me to reply of course. Like yea, ok, I bet you don't even have a bike!!! Keep in mind I was close to the ghetto.
70 miles so far, still have a quarter tank o' gas.

Ride the love train.... LOVE TRAIN!

I have christened her "BB"... after my favorite blues man, BB King.
My Red Blues Babe. ;)

Great Great Great.... Only a few miles for me so far, and haven't left the neighborhood. But occasionally for no reason I laugh inside my helmet.

I know how you feel!

I was out the other day riding my buddy 150 in my neighborhood, (I am still getting used to the scoot before I go get the licence) and I stopped for a breather and my wife had called me like 3 times. I looked at my watch and had been riding for like 2 hours!

Some people (cagers) just need to grow up. You're right. The person that yelled at you probly didn't have a bike and was just jelous.

Keep riding and if you get in trouble just say, "im sorry hunny, I know I have been on my scooter too much, I'm gonna go riding and think about what I've done"

Songs like that really date us! My standard reply to to women like that is usually "yeah,REAL classy". Don't let them get to you. Anyway you really want to hear nasty comments ride a Segway. Many handicapped folks use them now instead of a wheelchair as it is selfpowered and legal on sidewalks and most stores. Also when gliding (as we call it) your eyeball to eyeball to people. Anyway I love the this true story: This gentleman was on his Segway at a busy intersection when a car full of adults (who should know better) stopped and started yelling at him calling him lazy and ret***d ,etc. So he pops off his prostetic leg and uses it to wave at them and says "you' all have a nice day now"!!

Like the song says: Sing, Sing, Sing a song! (Great, now thats going to be in my head all day, groan)

LOL. So far she's been nothing but great about it. Came home Sunday and I was just pulling out of the driveway. She says "just once around the block, we have to go to Dad's!!". lol

She didn't get to me at all, Artisan. Thought about chasing her down and asking what kind of bike she had (cuz I'd bet money she didn't have one). Decided she SO wasn't worth my time. ;)
I know that most Motorcyclists would rather have more 2 wheeled vehicles on the road, regardless of what kind they are. Wouldn't we all agree? :D

My favorite was when some 16-17 year old football player walking from practice with his buddies yelled 'Hey look a the fag on the scooter'. I pulled over and asked if my scooter somehow threatened his manhood, because it sure didn't effect mine :-). I winked, and rode off :-).

Yea,
Going after the fool that threw the cheap insult at ya would have been a waste of your time and your buddy's power. Not to mention it would have forced you to put yourself in to a dangerous situation.
Let them feel good about driving in a cage....

All the guys I work with raz me about riding a SCOOTER to work every day. And I take it with a big smile on my face.

While they feel good about putting me down for driving a "moped" and laughing about it.... I will be laughing all the way to the bank.

My wife really wants a scoot so we can share the fun of riding around town on the weekends. Hey, its cheaper than a movie and mor fun than sitting on your rump all day!

I got my Buddy San Tropez a little over a month ago and have already hit 500 miles. I can't help myself, I loathe getting in my car!
Enjoy!

Hey Tony, Just got back from Estes Park and my wife and I enjoyed meeting Deanna. We had a great time riding the scooters. Maybe too great a time. My Buddy 125 is still on order and now my wife wants me to order her one. I couldn't get her off the scooter in Estes Park. We rode for 5 hrs. It was the first time my wife was ever on a scooter and she is sold.Took 2 days to get the smile off her face. We will meet up with you when our Buddies come in. Rick

I spoke with my dad yesterday, who is a life-long H-D rider, builder, guru. He turns 60 next year and has been on 2 wheels, mostly American wheels from Milwaukee, for over 45 years. My brother told him I was getting a scooter (without my permission), I was steeling myself for a little bit of ridicule. Instead, my bearded, leathered, Hog-riding dad sounded excited. He had been reading about Genuine lately and definitely appreciates anything on 2 wheels. We talked about gear, idiot cagers, and safety. It was one of the longest and deepest conversations I have had with my dad. A great Father's Day for us both.

That's awesome Scottingintherain! I got a few of those MC waves on Sunday, left hand down to the side. Most MC guys 'get it', I think.
