I remember a time not too long ago that there were tons of GY6 scooter parts for sale on Ebay. I just noticed that a lot of the "buy it now" stuff have an "item has ended" status. Is this a sign of the times? Does this mean there are a lot more scooter enthusiasts out there who are willing to work on their own rides? Well, stop it! Save some of the good stuff for me!

Be mindful that not all GY6 engines are the same or use the same (even compatible) parts. It's a design that's been copied and altered many times over and PGO has its own versions of the engine. Otherwise, you'd be riding on the same engine as the ones in the worst Chinese scoots.
Even Buy It Now items have expirations, so "Item Has Ended" doesn't necessarily mean it's sold. Many of those parts come from shops and will be reposted.

Well, sure, the worst Chinese scoots have GY6es, but so do plenty of good scooters. There's nothing inherently wrong with a GY6.ericalm wrote:Otherwise, you'd be riding on the same engine as the ones in the worst Chinese scoots.
