Most all motorcycle dealers carry a "Battery Tender" trickle charger. Other automotive outlets as well I imagine or http://batterytender.com/product_info.php?products_id=4. They give you a spare patch cord that you can permanently attach to the 12V battery in your Buddy and just plug in the tender every so often and it will cycle on and off as needed. Really extends the life of m/c batteries. You want to charge the battery with no more than a 1.5 amp charger.

Probably, but why not get a Battery Tender Jr? If you look around you can probably get it for the same price.Corsair wrote:Will this work:

Because the charge your battery holds slowly leaks out of the battery through the wiring system etc. It won't stay charged if you let the bike sit for a week or two. With the winter coming, and a lot of buddies being garaged, investing in a battery charger that keeps the battery charged through the winter will be a lot cheaper/easier than having to buy a new battery in the spring. Chargers are cheaper than batteries, and it's not just suggested, it's almost mandatory. If you park your buddy outside (under a cover) in the winter, you might even want to take the battery out and charge it at home, so the terminals don't get rustyBlackeyes24 wrote:why do you need a battery charger?
