San Mateo Show, Dec 16th

Post by vitaminC »

So, anyone want to meet up at the Motorcycle Show this weekend in San Mateo? I will be going Saturday morning. Weather permitting, I will be riding the Buddy up there, especially since two-wheels parks for free and cagers pay $7! In addition to the show itself, I am hoping to take advantage of the demo rides, because the motorcycle bug has bitten me once again...

We are looking at Saturday a.m. also. Depends, maybe we can get a SFSG group to come down. It would be from the city, so probably closer to noon. We can meet up for weak sodas and lukewarm concession hotdogs!

Well, other than passing on the mystery-meat hotdogs in favor of some undoubtedly high-quality fries, sounds good!

I was planning on going, but now my boss needs me to come in this weekend, to assist with a new client interview.

So not only do I have to miss this, but I have to WORK.

EDIT: DEMO RIDES! O CRUEL WORLD!

Ouch. Are you sure you're not coming down with something? Haven't you also been bit by the motorcycle bug?

Well, if you weren't there, you missed a good time!

I didn't see any other scoots in the parking lot...

Does it have a CVT?
Yes, that is my scooter.
Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
Yes, that is an NRA sticker on the fender.

Hah! Definitely not. But it is belt drive.

I (unintentionally) lifted the front wheel getting on the highway...

Buell does a lot of interesting stuff besides the front brake: fuel in the frame, oil in the swingarm, very short wheelbase with steep geometry, belt drive, etc. I could see parking one in my garage...
