Daft punk style. AWESOME.

I love that helmet too. I've been searching high and low for one that looks like it's tie-dyed, no such luck yet.
I suppose I'll stick with the bright pink for now... and silver when the time (and money) comes for me to buy my new 3/4.

EDIT: I am a bit matchy matchy myself, however, I did not come to the conclusion of buying a silver helmet for matching the scoot purposes as much as sun reflectivity and visibility.
I also can't find a decent 3/4 in the same type of pale hot pink as my modular helmet-- I am trying to avoid plastering myself in pink though.

Here in US.
I'm not too sure about Europe being any more helpful. I used to ski a lot back home, and in 15 years of skiing I had to go helmetless because I never could find something that would fit my head without giving me terrible migraines.

When looking for my winter helmet last year I tried on countless brands, many of which European (and specifically Italian). Those brands were extremely uncomfortable for my wide head. Even those helmets that I could get my head into were shaped so that at the sides I would have hard bits of plastic jabbing into my skull or just squeeze my head too hard for me to ever consider them.

Okay so I just found this awesome Nolan N30 on Motorcycle-superstore's site by accident...
Image

They only have it in XL, and it's $130 (on sale). I think it would match well with either the Italia or the avocado Stella....

There is also this N20, that is slightly different, and about $200, available in all sizes.

Image

Just thought I'd share.

EDIT: Also just found the N30 Flashback that comes in various colors with a cream colored stripe. ($115-$180 depending on color and size)

Image

And this N20 Caribe in "ivory" is also about $200, available in all sizes.
Image

I acknowledge that these are all considered "half" helmets-- however they are the same style as the one I have that I consider my "2/3" helmet. My half helmet has much to it than these ones.

I've been looking at this helmet for a while, but XL just won't cut it. The $200 version is nicer... I may have to sell my Bell Rally cap and put it towards this helmet.

Don't you think it'd look cute with the orange Corazzo 5.0 and my white Buddy?

The Nolan N30 is a 3/4 helmet. A half doesn't have as much coverage at the base of the skull.

The N30 and N20 are really good helmets. They're probably the most popular scooterists helmets around here with new riders. My wife has an N30 and I had an older model Nolan 3/4 before going to a modular.

We have many, many, many threads about stylish open face helmets.

I mostly wear my FF, but for short distances and rallies/rides/Atlanta summer weather I like the ventilation and prefer the 3/4. I'm just wondering why the 1/2 isn't as vibrant as the 3/4 on that Nolan "Italia" model.

Now... if only these were CLOSE to reasonably priced *drool*:

The colors would work, but I think having "Italia" badging on your sides, your front, and your skull would be a little too much overkill.

That's the drawback to picking and choosing based on price: I have a red/grey Prima jacket and a silver Fulmer helmet on an Italia: I look like a Christmas tree ornament gone rogue or something.

The next jacket/helmet decisions won't be made on price alone...

Eric I would have to disagree with you...
At least on Motorcycle-Superstore, they are both listed as half helmets... and by looking at them, they seem to have about the same amount of coverage on the back of the skull (you have to take into account that the N30 and N20 are pictured at different angles). You can see that they each have a sightly different shape, yes, the N30 is a little more square than the N20. The N30 has the extra cheek "fluff" that extends past the hard shell of the helmet (which really won't do a lot to protect anything anyway), and only very slightly more of the colored outer plastic around the base of the skull area, as opposed to the black inner plastic and padding down there of the N20. That does not make the N30 a 3/4.
If it had shell that extended over the cheek/jaw area I would say it's closer to a 3/4 helmet, but it doesn't. Even if the back of the helmet extended lower to completely cover the base of the skull and top of the neck maybe, but it doesn't have that either.

Now if you look at those two compared to a typical DOT-approved 1/2 helmet, a classic 3/4, and a current style 3/4, you can see a pretty clear and obvious difference between them and the Nolans. Which is why I consider these Nolan ones 2/3 helmets, as opposed to 3/4 or 1/2.
They have more coverage than a typical half, but less than a typical 3/4.
(They protect the ears, but not the cheek and jaw area.)

This was my first helmet, bought a size too small

$30 HAWK cheapy and not fashionable at all, but it saved my brain just as well in an accident. I think I still have it somewhere.

First thing that you have to do is find the brand that fits your head shape; Then you decide on a color pattern.

Different helmet brands have a different interior shapes and fitment.

Awesome helmets is awesome!!

I have the original ICON Alliance graphic helmets. The alliance fits my head incredibly well, so I have one for my scoot (black and silver). I use Suomy helmets for my MC's.

Also, it is better to look good than to feel good.

And, helmet color isn't going to save you from the idiot cagers out there. Get something that you like, fits, and can afford. But I would recommend a fullface no matter what.

Yeah, it was the first on the page for "3/4 helmet" so I used it for the example. If I don't go with the polka-dotted SparX w/ my snap on bubble shield I'll be getting the fancy pants dual visor Hawk-- it's pretty much the same as my modular, just without the chin bar, and I already know that my modular fits really well.
... now that I think of it, maybe I'll just get both.
I'm going to have a helmet for every day of the week if I keep going like this!

Not for everyone. :)

Rubys have better paint than any helmet I've ever seen. And the leather interior is like nothing else. Soft, plush, luxurious.

I've only seen one on a rider once, but they sure look nice in store windows and displays!

Same here. I am well on my way, I think. This new one is just the beginning. Now that I know bargains are available on good helmets, no stopping me.

That said, the thing that stops me is colors and graphics. I don't care for most, or at least find myself indifferent.

I am tempted to get this, on sale atm in XL for $75. At the link. But idk how much i really like it. For myself, at least. Anyone else like this and have an XL head i highly recommend it. free dark visor comes with

I don't like those. Is it ok not to like those? I don't like those :helmet: :hit:

They're "nice" 'n all but pass at any price for me. Something about the design that makes me go "Hmm" which makes the paint in graphics seem wasted for me. Some of which are fruity enough as is for my taste. For what it's worth...

Looks luxurious, though. Like wearing the interior of a Lexus on the head :)

It's nicer than a Lexus.

If they made a full face and it fit me and I could afford it, well… I probably still wouldn't get one. I had my new helmet for about a week before I scratched it. I haven't dropped it yet, but the lining is already in need of a good cleaning.

Well I was shopping 3/4 helmets for summer and wound up getting the black version of this helmet, but i kind of wanted this version as the graphics are summer heat oriented, and priced at a closeout of $55! Thought a few of you might like it for the summer season. SparX is a good helmet, no worries :)

Image

Image

http://www.compacc.com/p/SparX-FC-07-Su ... hic-Helmet

http://www.helmetexpress.com/prod.cfm/c ... /pid/25994

Anyway I could live with everything and like it quire a lot except the "face" of the sun. Which looks somewhat girly imo. Just my opinion, but if I don't like the helmet, I won't wear it. I just favor solid colors, pretty sure.

All three of my helmets are predominately black so what do I know :helmet:

^ What mismatch, where? All I see is a candidate or two for Scooter Fashion Week.

And Buddy, it's a scooter not a lawnmower

Anyway, four NEW offerings from SparX, just in time for summer. The Studebaker, Messenger, Outlaw, and The American retro 3/4.. I like what they have done with the lining, giving it the SparX logo treatment. $94 for the regular, $103 for the retro. No, I don't work for SparX, I just like their helmets :P
