That being said, I am far too lazy, and don't yet have the knowledge required to keep one of these classics running. Many of our locals have a more modern machine on deck for when a hard to find part croaks on their vintage ride.
Shifting is up in the air. Love the finer control, but since most of what I do is still in city traffic, the auto is just easier. For the larger displacements, as much as I love scooters, they sell at a price point where it just makes sense to have a less fussy, easier to get parts for motorcycle.
The new Honda DCT models are pretty nice. if one crops up used in a few years I might consider
