I'm loving the range of advice here, simply because it reflects all our own experiences and biases while none of us really have any insight into the situation or the nature of their relationship. But we're all pretty quick to recommend compromise, capitulation, breakup, etc. I'm starting to think this thread is a project for axiom's psychology class... but I cannot look away...
Hi guys,
No, this was not a test for some psychology class(however may try it in the future, not here though). I posted that out of frustration and a way to vent without venting on the woman that I love. It was a chance to get some things out into the open, but at the same time, not have it it so close to home that it would cause other problems. I appreciate all of the varying opinions, and in the end, the most important thing is that she is okay, the buddy can be fixed. I did not know that my original post would spur such a reaction, but, I must admit, that both jennifer and I have had moments of amusement. Everything is cool, and hopefully, the buddy will have the shiny side up soon. Thanks All!
If you are gonna do it, make darn sure the juice is worth the squeeze.

I was wondering the same things as ericalm. This was like a Dr. Phil episode - didn't want to watch, but stayed just long enough to get hooked. I myself was quite amused at the responses. Thank you for FINALLY responding and putting it to rest.
Yes, that is my scooter.
Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
Yes, that is an NRA sticker on the fender.
Holy crap. I logged on and read this whole thing and didn't even look at the dates. I kept thinking, man this topic sure brought out some of the OG members of MB.
no i don't ride a scooter, i am a scooter pilot!

This thread was started (and concluded) in 2006. It was resurrected by a spammer. The spammer's post has been removed, but the responses were left. I added the [Necropost] tag to the headline.

To me it sounded mostly like another example of why it is generally a bad idea to loan out your scooter, and you should be ready to accept the consequences if you do. (girlfriend, brother, neighbor, school chum, whatever)
