"The road takes no prisoners" is stating (with humor) that hitting sand when accelarating out of a corner is probably something no one could have avoided, as I was unprepaired by not looking ahead for danger.
SEEing danger (sand in a curve) is one of the fundamentals that is central to the MSF course.
So, in this case, and only this case, because I don't want to kick people when they're down, I'm going to say yeah, I could have avoided that crash.
I'm getting ready to take the MSF class again, because it has been a few years since the last time and I want to get a refresher.
