Touch up paint/ body parts

Post by KidDynomite »

Well, I've finally fully recovered from my crash and the weather has been allowing me to scoot here in KC.

I do have a few questions for you all.

1) Has Genuine made a source for touchup paint for body panels? I have Sunset Orange.

2) Does anyone know were I can buy body pannels? I could use just about anything on the RH side of the scoot including the chrome headlight casing and rear blinker casing.

3) Good source to buy grips? The end has been rubbed off on one of my grips and I'd just as soon buy aftermarket than replacing stock.

4) Just any overall suggestions in terms of finding parts / aftermarket or stock.
You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner Dottie, a REBEL.

1) Not that I've seen (yet). An auto paint shop should be able to match it. But...
2), 3), 4) Your dealer can get you body panels. They're ridiculously cheap— I think you can get all of the interior panels as a set for something like $60. That kind of makes repainting a stock color pretty costly compared to replacement. You could also get the panels and other parts from Motorsport or Scooterworks. They have many accessories or all types (including those not on their web sites) and can obtain whatever you need from Genuine, from grips to performance stuff, etc.
