Is my Buddy de-restricted?

Post by Magmir »

The dealer told me my Buddy 50 hasn't been de-restricted, but it gets up to a reported 40 on flats and 45/50 downhill. I didn't think it would do that if it was restricted?

I bought it from a dealer in another city and am thinking about taking it to the local scoot shop to get it done, but if it is already de-restricted then it would save me a trip!

Sounds de-restricted to me! If it still had the two restrictors in place it would only go about 30mph. Although, maybe the variator spacer is still on because you should get 45 on the flats. You could always re-de-restrict it and then compare!
