Props to Buddyraton for letting me hijack this topic. I'm not a big fan of putting labels, but what the hell it's just silly fun.
I'm a Zen Buddist!

I'm kind of diggin' the "Buddist" title. It makes me feel peaceful and very zen.

^^^ What's up with that guy???
I went with Scooterist. I don't like to feel trapped into a specific category of scooter. I love my Bud, but in few years, I might love a Vespa more.

Oh Lou76 give us our grins

. It's just silliness and we are all cyclists to begin with...or is that we are all cyclists with which to begin

?
After all when we're on the road it's hard to tell us apart.

"Cyclists" are bicyclists, right?

Here's my reasoning:
- It's already an accepted, in use term, which appears on t-shirts, patches, etc.
- Ties Buddy riders to the larger scooter community. Yes, there is one.
- Vespa, Honda, Kymco, Lambretta and riders of other scoots don't have their own names.

oops your right ericalm, Cyclists are bicyclists. I didn't edit myself. I was trying to lump traditionsl motorcycles with scooters, which are a type of motorcylce per MSF.
How about "human beans"?
In other words, there are as many reasons to love riding as there are people who ride.
Hey what about "riders"?

nailed it...
i apologize for my negativity... this forum has just become more and more cluttered with information that i am not really interested in... welcome to the internet, huh?.... but that is an entirely selfish perspective to have on it, and i apologize for that...

Lou76,
I really didn't think you were serious (My note was just in case). After all of your input to let a little silliness ruin this for you just didn't sound right.
My theory is that with these new affordable, easy to manage, maintain and ride scooters with great warranties your bound to have new types of community members. Like me. I love to ride. I'm not a machanic. I'm not going to learn how to do much more than change the oil and be able to discribe the ramblings of the scooter to a my machanic. On the other hand my mate has a bike that will always need to be massaged into performance, he loves it, the more that falls off during a long ride the better. go figure.
I have found people have similar interest but rarely come to it for the same reason. What ever the reason the act of riding is the love we all share.
WE ALL LOVE THE RIDE!
so doesn't that make us all "ride lovers"?

Well... that's all part of having a growing yet still young and scrappy community. In all honesty, as we acquire more members it will only get worse. But scanning information for worthwhile tidbits while omitting that of little interest or importance is an essential 21st Century skill.
And you did take the time to post a reply...

I couldn't vote! I like more than one!
I like
Genuine Buds and Buddists (I really like the play between Budist (sp?) and Buddist)
Nutterbutter likes Buddyist.
I think I'm on the verge of being "The Scooter Lady" though. I'm STILL the only person with a scooter on base. But at least, as of now, I THINK the motorcyclists have stopped trying to insinuate their superiority by reving their engines every time they see me. It was getting annoying. If I had issues with size, I wouldn't have bought a Buddy 50.
I'm still leaning towards Buddist.

Every man who rides a Bud50 needs a t-shirt with this on it.

I'm just happy I went from "that fat b!tch on the bicycle" to "that lady on the scooter." Maybe it's the helmet? Or the fact that if I
really wanted to, I might could run them over!
