What is the best solution you've seen for transporting a hot cup of coffee on your buddy?

EricAlm's much borrowed cup holder design!

Also, try a search, there are a number of threads with good solutions...

Scooterworks sells these:

I've never used one, but it looks like it would work.

Thanks for pointing me to EricAlm's design... consider the question answered. I''ve got some extra leather I'll use to make mine. Cool!

There's also Corazzo's version

Though honestly, I usually just put it in my glove box. I rarely spill in the last mile between the coffee shop and my office in the morning.

Cool. Glad you found it. Sometimes I get lazy finding old links... the Corazzo one also looks like a good option if you don't feel like doing all the work yourself...

That Scooterworks suction cup one won't stick reliably to any place on a Buddy.

One option is a travel mug that is truly sealed. Stick it in the glovebox and you're good. I do that sometimes, but I also bought the Corazzo cup holder linked above and while it's pricey for what it is, it works very very well. It holds a cup just about perfectly straight up on my Buddy and I use it every time I hit Starbucks will I'm out.

I picked up a pack of these at Wal-Mart. I think they were 4 for $5.

They work astonishingly well, and they're pimp.

I'm with you guys. Trust me. But there are NONE down here. When I still lived in Nashville, I never had to go to Starbucks. But South Florida just isn't a coffee place. There's one place near me and it's just bad.

And actually I get my coffee from Cuban Coffee places more than anywhere else, so that counts!!!

Ok, we'll forgive ya ;) I hate that there's no shops most other places. Thats why I don't like leaving Portland... You can't get on your scoot without tripping over an independant shop here :P

Big +1 on the Corrazo Coffee Jacket. I've tried several beverage options and this paired with a leak proof stainless steal tumbler does the trick.

Buy a travel Thermos. Just put it in the front compartment and you are good to go.

I customized one so it can be used for holding coffee, cell phone, camera, etc. Clips on with a cell phone belt clip and has a small piece of velcro at the bottom.

the prima drink jockey will stick pretty well on the headset, right below the instrument panel.

i keep a small terry cloth on my scooter at all times, and when i grab a coffee i usually just wrap the cloth around it to cushion it a bit, and stick it in the glove box area.

4 for like $2 at BigBoxMart. They work great.

I stuck sticky velcro tape to the inside rim of my glovebox and sewed the other side of the tape to this "holder" I made. It attached to the box and holds the cup still while riding...

Cup holder -FAIL!

Call me Ms. Dt. Coke pants today. I was stoked to get a second chance at sticking things to the top cover once my broken one was replaced. Like I didn't know the suction cup drink holder only stuck to the smooth plastic and not the black that is my little glove box area. I originally mounted some velcro to hold my shuffle and stuck my little clock on there only to realize I had no place to put my drink holder. Well, the top cover was replaced this weekend and today I got to try the drink holder for the first time: FAIL.

I'm not sure what failed the cup, the holder, the position. The suction cups held but the ride shook the shit out of my cup and I got to work spattered with Dt. Coke and well, I just clean my scooter last night, even taking a little crevice brush to the floorboard. Figures! And as the Hash House Harriers chant: what doesn't go in you goes on you. AT LEAST that much Dt. Coke ended upon my pants.

The good news is my camera shows me that my speaker grills are rusting. YEEHAW! Last night, I had to scour rust of my two week old mirrors. Coastal living comes with rusty consequences
