Share Your Maps!

Post by Corsair »

I don't know if you've seen it yet but Google Maps has a new feature called "My Maps" where you can:
Google Maps wrote: Create and share personalized, annotated maps of your world. Learn more.

* Mark your favorite places on your map.
* Draw lines and shapes to highlight paths and areas.
* Add your own text, photos, and videos.
* Publish your map to the web.
* Share your map with friends and family

I also thought this would be a cool way for everyone to share scenic trips and alternate interstate bypass routes with one another here on the boards. So many people here have shared stories about all these beautiful roads and hidden oasis's they've cruised... now you can really share those experiences with your fellow scooterists.

So who's going to be the first to share their map?!!

This is great because I've been wanting to find a way to share annotated route maps for a while. Time to get crackin'.

Sic! I wonder if Google will let me DL these to my phone? 8) mixed with GPS I can see at a glance if the red dot is on the blue line.... or miles and miles away from it as it usually is  lol
I don't do much modding on the scoot anymore, just riding :-)

Hey google maps added an "avoid highways" feature that seems to work better than the other map sites.

By the way, does anyone have any routes to share?
