New Buddy owner!!!

Post by scubagirl »

Hello! Just got a 2009 Red Buddy 125 yesterday. She has about 130 miles on her now 8) !! This is my first "scooter", as I used to have a moped years ago. I currently also own a 2009 Yamaha V-Star 1300T (also Red of course)!! Love my motorcycle, but I wanted something lighter and easier to get around town on. So far I absolutely LOVE the Buddy, it's so fun to ride around town, plus it has a lot of power which really surprised me!

Welcome! Glad you enjoy your buddy =)

It's funny to see how scooter riders convert to motorcycle riders, and motorcycle riders convert to scooters.

You stole my scooter!

Just kidding! A couple of weeks after I bought the seafoam Buddy, I asked Pam if it was too late to change my mind and get the red one instead. Then she told me on Tuesday that she had sold it over the weekend. Glad you're enjoying it! :D

Yes I'm loving the scooter tremendously!! It's totally different then my VStar, but still fun none the less!! I went out riding the VStar over the weekend so she wouldn't get jealous, LOL!!! Crazy feeling going from one to the other!! I had been riding the Buddy all week, then jumped on the VStar, and felt like I needed a crane to pick her up, LOL!! JK, she's heavy but I can handle her with ease no worries!! The Buddy is a total lightweight though!! I've seen several scooters running around here in Norman, but I haven't actually talked to them yet.

A lot of us ride motorcycles too and I have to say most of us would take the scooter nine out of ten times. Don't get me wrong. I love motorcycles and they have their uses, but you can't beat a scooter for sheer riding goodness.

I went to a motorcycle rally this weekend and was thinking about this quite a bit. Tonight I took the same 15-mile ride, first on my Suzuki, then on my Blur. I love that scooter. So much more fun and relaxing around town.

I loved my V star as well, but I prefer scoots. They are so much lighter, and agile.
