Did I Hurt My Buddy During Transport

Post by BosBuddy »

So I'm staring longingly at my buddy today and I notice that there is a small hose hanging from it. Does this look normal to everyone else, or is it something that could have become loose during transport? I've only had her for a few days, and I started it up for a minute or so just to make sure she would run - besides having to press the starter button a few times, she sounded okay.
Anyone want to ease my paranoia :?:

No worries. That is normal.
If you are gonna do it, make darn sure the juice is worth the squeeze.

Without being able to see the pic clearly, usually any tubes you see like
that are a vent for the gas tank or other receptacles/devices where one wants
to prevent a vacuum [so to keep the gas flowing to the engine].

Get on your knees and sniff the end of the tube. Smell like fuel? :P
Bonus tip: try not looking like a pervert when doing so. Buddy molesters
are getting five years prison now, or so I'm told.

Actually, I kinda felt like a pervert when I got on my knees to take a closer look.

No. That one which is being delineated by the arrow is the carburetor float-bowl overflow vent tube. Or something like that. It is the tube through which any overflow from the carburetor bowl will vent. Or any overflow from the carburetor float-bowl will vent through that tube...

I could go on like this all day...

Thanks! I love this forum, leave it to everyone here to have already discussed everything in great detail. I did a search but guess I missed it.
