MONIRAQ - I have a couple of question

Post by JokerJim »

Where did you get that windshield for the 07?

Does the shield tilt back a few inches or is it very vertical like the cheap 06 shields?

Do you think the shield has added any top-end to your scoot?

When seated on the scoot, how far up the chest is behind the shield?

I am seriously considering a shield but do not want a tall one. Ideally they would make a bugshield that tilted back and was less than a foot tall.

Thank you.

Your dealer should have the 07 windshield in stock (or they can order it for you)

My dealer had just gotten them in when I bought my Buddy.

It's mostly vertical but tilts back a tiny bit.

Hard for me to tell since I've only ridden with the windshield on and I'm still in the breaking-in stage.

I am 5'3 and the shield comes up to about my chin. I like it because I don't have to see through it but I feel it definitely helps to cut the wind. I didn't have a shield on my motorcycle and I can feel a difference.

If I'm not mistaken, this particular shield is made for the '07 models only because the headlight is bigger than the one on the '06's.

Hope these answers help!

Thank you for answering those questions.

I think that shield is my next mod. It can always be removed if I don't like it.

My "cheap 06" windscreen has increased by gas mileage from 85 mpg average to close to 100 mpg.

Monica,
I tried to order the windshield today. My dealer didn't know where to get this particular shield.
Could you give me the name of your dealer and what city they are in so I can contact them?
Is it a GENUINE made windshield?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I found out that the short screen is made by GENUINE. The dealer in texas that I called said he had 2 on back order with Genuine.

I called Scooter World-KC and had them order one for Olive.

Hope it arrives in time for the TORNADO RALLEY III.

Actually, I'm going in to get some mods done tomorrow and my dealer told me you'd called him. When I first started looking at the Buddy, the screens weren't in yet but I happened to ask on the day I bought the Buddy and he told me they had just gotten there the day before so I really lucked out!

Good luck getting yours!
