Cylinder Kit question.

Post by KidDynomite »

Is this the kit for the Buddy 125 or 50? It seems a bit confusing and I'm curious.

Also, what effect to changing your rollers have on performance? What's the point? Sorry, I'm a scooter mechanic newbie.

It's a 2 stroke kit, so it would be for the Buddy 50. Most likely it's the 70cc kit.

Changing the roller weights will affect how quickly your scoot accelerates, its top speed, etc. etc.

The way it works is, lighter weights will deliver more acceleration and possibly a slightly lower top speed while heavier ones will do the opposite.

We put one on my wife's and it made a big difference on flats and small hills but didn't seem to help with the big hills. She ended up getting a 125.

Heavier weights or mixed weights may help with hills or increasing top speed...
