I have had many covers for my bikes. Currently I have four of these
Nelson Rigg covers. They hold up very well and fit nicely.

We put a medium Nelson on the one Italia and it fits fine, not tight/snug
not too loose.

buddy cover

Post by Tamago »

I just bought my new motorcycle cover from wal-mart for $19.99. I just want my buddy to be covered (off course it cost more for better quality) I think this works fine for me (good fit and reasonable price).

Got mind from Wal-Mart too for the same price. Just needed something to keep the dust/pollen and other wut-nots from settling on her while she's in the garage.

are the wal-mart covers a 'one-size fits all' type or do they come in sizes? if so, what size did you get to fit your buddy? thanks.

Honestly, I would think twice about the Wal-Mart covers. If you are just going to use it to cover up your scooter in the winter while it's garaged, then the cheap-o jobber should suffice. However, if you plan on using it daily, or as the sole protection from the elements during inclement weather, I'd splurge on a better one. Nelson-Rigg is a good brand, as is Vega, and others -- they have vulcanized rubber lining, kevlar panels for the parts touching hot engine components, and sturdy clips and tie-downs.

Initially when I was shopping around, I balked at the $50 price tag. I'm a notorious cheapskate, and I'm currently paying off grad-school on a librarian's salary. ANYWAY, I use mine every day while I'm parked at work, and I'm really glad I didn't cheap out on this purchase. I've since seen locally at least two cheap-o covers on motorcycles parked in front of people's houses with gigantic rips from last week's heavy rainstorm, and in Baltimore I noticed a huge one with the ties ripped out floating above a scooter like a sail.

So in short, YMMV. :D

PS: A medium-sized one should work for you. I have a Vega brand large, since I have the windshield and rear rack.

The WalMart covers are okay. I've been using mine daily since August with no issues. It's kept the rain off a number of times and I use it every day at work. They come in two sizes. Large and X-large. I use the large for my Buddy and the XL for my wife's Helix. They fit perfectly.

haha, if only! no, that gorgeous creature is none other than aussie basketballer lauren jackson, who happens to play for the seattle storm. a 6'5" power forward, lj is one of the premier players in the wnba. she also plays internationally for korea and russia; and of course, her national aussie team who took the gold medal at the fiba games in brazil just recently.

as you've probably noticed, she's a hottie.
