It's my Buddy's 1 Year Birthday!!!!! Happy Birthday Buddy!!!!!

It's been quite a year together. From having never ridden before, to nearly 7000 miles behind us!

It all started with our first days taking the MSF course together. Since then there's been our amazing trip up the coast from LA to Los Gatos and back for Amerivespa, riding through the old growth redwoods, the wineries, Big Sur, and the other beautiful northern California vistas; the LA Scooter Meetup Group and helping to organize all the fun group rides we've shared - who knew scooting was such a social thing???; and how many rallys have we been on? I lost count; or that night we cruised out to the middle of nowhere at 2am, just the two of us, to find the perfect spot to watch a meteor shower; or our many, many spontaneous mental health rides and discovering all the made-for-two-wheels canyons and other beautiful places all around LA - up the coast or down the coast, this is a great place to be; then there's the second to none MB community where we have had so many laughs, and learned so much - thank you to everyone here, it wouldn't be the same without you; and how about those countless wonderful people we've met along the way, from all the low fives from other riders, to all the "cool scooter!" comments shouted our way, let's not forget that fantastic wake of smiles we leave behind us where ever we go.

That all this could be done in the middle of what was a truly terrible financial year was only possible thanks to you my Buddy. So Happy Birthday!!!! And thank you for making this a great year!!!! You have been the best, most low maintenance friend a guy could ask for. Good vibrations all the way.

So to say thank you, for your birthday I am giving you a Dr. Pully performance kit with a variator, 12g sliders, and a nice 1500rpm contra spring. I hope you like it.

Now, I say we celebrate!! Let's go for a nice long ride together. You can choose where we go. :)

Happy birthday Skootz' scooter! I'm proud to have been with you for quite a few of those miles.

When are you getting the work done? I may come by and say hi if not in the middle of work.

Hooray! Happy b-day! All of our Scooters' b-days have been coming up. It's fun to think of all the great stuff we've done, and how much our scooters have added to our lives. :D

Thanks Eric. Right back at ya. There's been many great miles haven't there? The work is being done at NoHo today. I'll probably head over there at about 2pm because I love to watch it being done. (I learn so much and WTF, I have no job so I might as well...). I'm getting the major service and the Dr. Pully stuff is being installed at the same time. New rear tire too. I figure Jimmy will be done somewhere around 3pm, give or take.

Thanks Tricia. I'm thinking we should arrange a play-date for all our scooters :)

happy birthday

Congrats Skootz!

I'm so jealous you got to ride in the Redwoods! I'd love to ride with nothing but monster trees around me instead of pavement! I let LI'l put-put sit too long without riding and thought I'd have to have the carb replaced. Went back to NOHO, and he just blew out the carb, and she was fine! :D :D She also got her first service done, even though it was only 350 miles, but since it was such a pain to get her there, (my guy building a ramp, tying her down in the van, etc., I wanted to get it done in one fell swoop). I was really tired today, but wanted to take her out to run the engine so she wouldn't stall and die again. I tell ya, I had the biggest grin on my face when she started right up like the old days, and away we went!!! Isn't it just a wonderful feeling to just ride!!!

Bah! We must have just crossed paths. I got there at around 3. Mod's make a noticeable difference. I've posted my thoughts in my other thread to keep the Voodoo stuff together.
