This sucks.

I am sitting at school in my truck. Had to bring the truck because I had to bring some unfired clay pieces, which don't travel well in the scooter. I am stuck here while I fire the kiln, which will take at least 5 hours, and it is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS out. This is usually my day off, but I have too much to do.

I know how you feel! It was beautiful out on Saturday (Halloween) but I wasn't feeling well and couldn't ride my scooty.

Yes you can! You just need to sit up straight and try real hard to fall asleep.

How to takek a nap on a scooter:
1)sit on seat
2) rest arms and head on headset
3) pretend you're back in that history class. You know the one with the really boring monotoned voiced professor.

Does your truck have a shell on it? If not, you should have rolled the scooter onto the bed and taken it with you.

1) Be REALLY small

Truck has a shell. Otherwise the scooter would have gone with me. I like the comment on imagining History Class in order to fall asleep on the scooter. I teach Art Survey, an Art History class for non-majors, and it is at 8 o'clock in the morning. The very first day I told my class that they should make a point of eating breakfast, as the lights will be going out it can make for prime sleep inducing conditions if not properly fueled.

Biology was always the worst for me. If I ever had difficulty falling asleep I would just pull out that giant textbook and start reading. I was usually out by the first page. The course was interesting, but the book was not so much.

Kid who sat behind me in my summer math class this year would come in, eat his fast food breakfast then about 15 mintues later snore through the rest of the class.

Just the electric yesterday. Needed to bisque some pieces for a Raku firing I am doing tomorrow (my first solo).

I remember that you are a ceramics person from a previous thread. I am a sculptor, and don't do that much ceramics in my personal work, but I teach a beginning level class at the College and at the High School level. We hold our class at a local Museum for the College one, and have a Downdraft and an Updraft (Alpine) kiln there. I like the downdraft a lot, but it is a super hot process.

At the high school they have an electric kiln that is computerized. Would have like to have been using that yesterday as I could have programmed it and gone home, but we have manual ones here at school.

I am doing my first ever craft event ( http://www.craftymart.com/) Mostly to set a deadline for myself and force myself to produce some things.

Too much info?
