Because this disgusts me:

If I were an alum, I'd write to the AD and make sure that stuff like this doesn't happen again. I see this as worse than Blount's punch or Spike's eye gouge.

I've played for schools and clubs for years- that video is crazy. Yeah, you get roughed up pretty good- thats part of the game- but that is so far over the line, it's not even debatable. Wow.

UNM has suspended her indefinitely. We won't really know what that means until next season since this was their last game of the season this year.

The WF is graduating next semester from UNM, math teacher; my daughter is a freshman at UNM (University Near Mom.)
The Lobos aren’t doing very well in any of the sports fields – football has been junk they have a 0-7 record and the head coach is messed up with several controversies; something like age and sex discrimination, and he has allegedly punch a line coach in the mouth. The basket ball venue, the Pit, is being renovated, we have no money in the state, something like 700 million deficits, and we are spending something like 60 million on the renovation – tuitions are going up and up.

Yeah, we were joking about Idaho in another thread, but New Mexico is really one of the last states I would ever want to live in. Yuck!

playing competitive and committing assault are not the same thing. weber state has a womens rugby team. and they get pretty rough but pulling someone to the ground by their hair still would not pass.
crazy vid.

Holy crap! I played Rugby at Notre Dame back in the late 70's-early 80's. I had fingers and ribs broken a few times on hard hits, saw torn ears, and busted jaws, etc. Illinois St was about the dirtiest team we played but the worst of it was getting shoved down after passing and held down by your collar in line outs. Nothing like that young (dare I say it) "lady" from UNM. I'd be afraid to play against her in any sport!

It was on the evening news: The UNM woman causing that entire ruckus has been suspended from the soccer team indefinitely. – She said she was sorry for everyone, her family, team, and especially BYU…
