There was a random parade in North Park last night and my scooter got towed. AND my registration was expired. My fault, but FYI if your scooter gets towed in SD it's $350, just like a car.
*sigh*

Bummer! Sorry to hear about that. And I've heard of drunk drivers getting off for less than $350. They endanger people and you did absolutely nothing to endanger anyone. It's just not fair.

Yeow! That hurts! I sure hope they treated your scooter well while they had it.

Me too, I can't go get it til tomorrow when I can go by the DMV and get the registration current.

Since I'm moving to Austin next month I may just try and sell her then get a new bike out there.
125 pink buddy! 2007, about 3300mi with a medium genuine windshield.. Hmm...

Sellers seem to be taking big price hits this season. Unless you want something new, selling might be financially risky.
On the other hand, should you not want to ride to Texas

, the Buddy fits great in the back of a minivan. I just loaded mine in a Toyota Sienna this evening singlehandedly, using a cheap Harbor Freight ramp and a set of decent tiedowns. Probably would have been safer to have help, but my idle is set just high enough that the bike will roll slowly with no throttle, so I just let it roll itself up the ramp, then hit the cutoff switch once the front end was in the van. Plenty of tiedown points once the seats are removed.

Yeah, I'd love to ride it to Texas but I can't! I'm going out in a few weeks then my bf is joining me a few weeks after that in his truck with the rest of our stuff. The plan was to rent a minivan or SUV and take it and just a few things with me. Nice!!!
Any car/van rentals folks recommend? We are having to ditch most of our furniture and junk bc a Penske/Uhaul one way is just too expensive. ;/

We couldn't find anything one way for less than $1k, + gas from San Diego to Austin. But I haven't started digging much for options besides big trucks, so the search begins! But I did just post my scoot in the For Sale section, just in case.

Just wanted to let you guys know - so many people were towed from North Park that day that the city is reimbursing them due to the signs not being posted visibly. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, now my scooter must sell, unfortunately.
