Went to the show today in L.B., and bought a new toy! It's a red strip of lights that flash when you have any reduction of speed, to help you get the attention of the cagers behind you. It also flashes when you brake.
I think it's a great safety device! It goes the whole length of your tag holder. Yipeee!

Any reduction? So...coasting for a second makes it light up?

I have a set of mercury switch activated LEDs on the tag bracket of my Burgman. I doubt they activate at every reduction in speed but would be happy if they did. Just another attention getter, kinda like a brake light when engine braking precedes hitting the brakes. They also blip when I hit enough of a bump to activate the switch.

got a link for yours purple? I got mine a couple years ago after seeing them mentioned in a thread on a BurgmanUSA forum. IIRC They were >$20 and couldnt be easier to install. They come with a disc (watch) battery and I noticed it's still working the other day when I had the Burger on the centerstand and shut the seat hard enough to blip the lights in my garage.

The website is powersportinnovations.com. I haven't gotten it hooked up yet, but hopefully soon. It's called safe ride.
