Help with jacket fit?

Post by meldot »

Hi there!
I just got my Buddy yesterday (yay!)
I tried on some Corazzo jackets, and found them to be a bit short-is this what I should expect? I was hoping for a jacket NOT to ride up when I sit down...
I tried on the Corazzo hoody for women (which is super cute) but I'm not sure if it's fitting right-

help?

Totally depends on the style. Some of the Corazzo jackets are a shorter design, but I have the hoody and it is about right. I also have two Joe Rocket Jackets, one mesh, that is about the same length as the hoody, but I also have the Ballistic and it is a longer style jacket, more all purpose, can be used for cooler or cold weather. I know I have a jacket issue, and that goes beyond motorcycle jackets. (I did not buy all the motorcycle jackets at once, more over a period of 7-8 years)

If the Corazzos don't seem to be fitting right, you might need to go to a different brand to find the right fit. If you can find a shop that carries a variety of brands you can try different stuff on and see what feels right. I think the Corazzo 5.0 is a little longer style. Hope that helps.

Since your in LA, you may want to check out: http://www.beachmoto.com/revit/gear.php

Rev'It (a Dutch company) makes really nice women's gear, including longer 3/4 length jackets that work well in the seated position you'll be in when riding the scoot. The prices are higher than Corazzo but they are discontinuing some styles, so there may be able to get a deal.

I wear a 3/4 jacket for 3-season riding. I have yet to find a 3/4 length mesh I really like (for women...there are plenty for men!).

Good luck with your search.

The Corazzo hoody is an older design (no longer made, but still available in some dealers) and I think they've made some fit improvements since then. Jacket fit is very individual, like helmets, and no style will fit everyone just right. The Corazzo 5.0 is longer and seems to fit a wider range of riders. The Tempeste is also longer and probably a bit more form fitting. I just got the men's version and love it. They may not be in dealers yet; you can ask Mike at NoHo when they're coming.
