Modern Buddy

Home on vacation this week and happened to catch the maiden flight of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner on the tube. What a gorgeous piece of work. Capable of carrying up to 330 passengers with a range of 8000+ miles using up to 20% less fuel.

The only downside was having to listen to the talking-head idiots running their yaps during the takeoff. Really wanted to hear those two turbines spool up. Some day one of these dopes is gonna realize that there are times when you can say more by shutting up than by talking incessantly.

Yeah, I understand that last bit too well... so many times, I'm looking at a cool custom car, hotrod or scoot pick, only to find someone has covered the car or scoot up with a scantily clad woman. Don't auto/scoot mags know we read for the cars/scoots, not for the women? If I want to see pics of scantily clad women, I'll buy a girlie mag... but when I buy a car/scoot mag, what I want to see is the car/scoot!
