Another Satisfied Customer

So about three weeks ago my Corazzo 5.0 started to have some velcro issues, and long story short I decided the following week to send it in to have the velcro switched out. I just got an email today from Corazzo, and they decided to send me a new jacket instead!
Since I started scooting I've been a fan of Corazzo, and now they pretty much have a customer for life.

They're way cool about stuff like that. I've visited Corazzo HQ (Its in Portland) and they're always willing to make time for you even if you're simply there for a chat.

They told me my velcro issues were 'normal wear and tear.'
I bought my 5.0 in the summer of '07 and have used a speedway the last two summers, so it's not like i've used the jacket 365 days a year for two and a half years.
I have many items that I own that I have used for years and years with no velcro issues whatsoever, but Corazzo was unwilling to help me out.
I love the styling of their stuff, but after this and the three pairs of their summer gloves that I went through before giving up, I think I may be done with them.

Not sure what your looking for in a jacket but have you checked out motoport?
http://motoport.com/ can't say they're the most fashionable, but they are the most protective well constructed jacket that I have seen yet. I had mine for over a year and got sick of the buttons failing so I sent it back and they redid the jacket in velcro. They made the jacket custom to my mesurements and if I gain or lose weight they will alter it. It also has an eight year crash warranty so if I wreck in the jacket and they can't fix it they'll replace it for free. I have the kevlar mesh touring jacket whith the wind/water proof liner and the insultated linear. This jacket with the linears takes me comfortably from hot summer days down to 28 degree weather. They are pricey, but not nearly as pricey as having to replace a jacket every three to five years. I'm getting thier kevlar mesh pants this spring

I had the same velcro issue, however they were very helpful once I called them. I received new velcro in the mail within a few days. The tailor wanted $20 to sew the new velcro so I ended up doing it by hand, which took a couple of hours.

Can someone with the "velcro issues" expand on exactly what the issue is? I've had a 5.0 for a couple of months now and so far I'm completely happy with it. I'd just like to know what I should be looking out for and maybe if there's anything I could be doing that might prevent it from happening.

Hey Guys
As with all of our other components we use brand name Velcro, YKK zips and knox armor and the like.
We have a total of 6 jackets with "velcro issues" in the last year, out of thousands sold. We have sent the problem specimens to the mfr., on initial inspection, we were told that is was "wear and tear". Zippers wear out eventually as well. That being said, we like happy customers in our products and our view is that if you ride enough to wear out a component, we do not want that component to get in the way of your riding, and we'll make it right.
I do not remember hearing from Shane about his problems, but if you still got them, we'll make them right!
Our customers have been very good to us, and we try to be very good to them. Thanks for your support, and always feel free to call us, personally, I love solving problems.
