Just wanted to drop you guys off with the news! My man and I are going to have a baby in August! Yay! That's part of why I desperately needed to sell my scooter before the big move to Austin. I'm quite sad about that buuut...
I sold my scoot! Look for my pink 125 around San Diego with my friend Mandy on it! She should be signing up for the forums, too, as iPocket or PocketMandy or some variation. She's rad and I know will take good care of my scoot so be nice to her!
Unfortunately this means no goodbye San Diego group ride since I've hardly been able to ride at all the last couple weeks due to nausea. Boo!! Rest assured I will have a new bike of some sort to come explore Austin on sometime after the baby arrives. Okay, maybe quite some time. Going to need *gulp* diapers?!

Congrats and keep us updated!
I totaly agree, and eventually its one of the best reasons to purchase a new scooter! My kid and I don't really fit all that well on my 50 See Genuine I'm counting on you to release the Retro touring scooter to keep my family together

Kids, some days you wonder WHY you have them and others you can't imagine life without them. Today is a "wonder WHY" day for me, ughhhh. I will show off mine too with these photos from Feb 2009 at the Daddy Daughter Dance. Just ignore the old guy in the picture, that's me.
My son is 14 and my daughter is 11. It has been an amazing 15 years so far.
Take your vitamins if they make you gag too much ask for a different brand-I had a lot of trouble with nausea and the smell of them set my tummy off, I switched brands until I found something that would stay down. If that does not work peel some citrus and smell that for a while and then take the pill with some juice. The citrus helps cut the smell and the juice helps cut the flavor.
If the nausea is bad try to keep something mild in your stomach (but not something fizzy or acidic so if it does come back up it is not as awful-sorry about that, I tried to not make that sound so yucky.)
You might also have some smells that just about kill you. I could not handle the smell of raw meat. I had to avoid about half of the grocery store (I remember having a stockboy go down the aisles to get things for me that were too close to the meat and seafood areas, I simply could NOT go that close to the smells.) Pregnancy changes a lot and it is very common (universal?) for women to have a very sensitive sense of smell, something I read said that it was to protect you from eating something that might make you sick. My husband did not understand this and thought I was just being a pain.
Read a lot and remember that this is *your* experience. Decide what you want to happen and find people that will support you in making those things happen (safely, of course). My first pregnancy became a medical procedure and it was difficult and terrifying. I stepped up, educated myself, and found my own voice for my second pregnancy and found a doctor that I believed in and *believed in me* so that we worked together as a team to bring my child into the world. I was not "The Patient", I was a valued member of the team and I was respected as the person who made the decisions about what was going to be allowed to happen or not allow things to happen. This is, IMHO, critical.
Congratulations. Your entering the best part of life. Parenthood! Enjoy every minute with your child (children) as the grow up way to fast. In a few 16 yrs from know you will need to get a couple new scoots again as you will have a great riding companion.

Okay, I'll pile on. This is my 11-month-old at 9 months. My wife got him some cute scooter shirts. It's been worth every minute. My wife had a great pregnancy, but needed to take zofran (that's phonetic, probably) everyday.
