A Clean Bike Will Run Faster,,,
,,, run better,,, last longer,,, cost less,,, and are safer,,, here is just one reason why...
yesterday i was going to wash my ratter and in prep of this i use a "Swifer Duster" to get the grit off,,, in doing this i noticed a cut wire on the cable from the odometer sender up the fork... if not for me going to clean the "salt" (the city of Concord decided to put down on sunny afternoon befor the winter storm last week),,, i would have never seen this till it was too late... the cost and downtime to repair this would have been great if not for taking the time out to clean the bike good enough to live in your house...
yes clean bikes do run faster than dirty ones,,, they are better taken care of (dont have the weight of the dirt ether)...
yes clean bikes last the owner longer resale value is somewhat better...
yes clean bikes do cost less to own,,, this is just one time in the life of owning many bikes that keeping it clean has saved me costly repairs and downtime...

the cut was not like that when i notice it was on the back side...

after taping the wire using wire loom and a cable tie for better protection cost already had the stuff used...

This must be the reason my bikes run faster after it rains.

Of course now that this episode was mentioned, I'm thinking of ways to turn Victoria into a golf ball. Of course I too would have to have golf ball dimpled gear.
