Wow! The sound of 30 bikes riding together! I went yesterday with
South Bay scooter club. We went through Palos Verdes, then up the coast
and had lunch. I really enjoyed it, but next time, no matter how fast I have to go, or when I came to a stop sign and let the car on my right have his turn, I'll slow then run the stop sign. When the car turned in front of me in PV, there was no way I could get around him to try to catch up. The poor "wing man" or whatever you call him was very nice when I apologized for him having to babysit me. There was another biker with us, but I think he was just keeping Dennis company... Oh well, it was great fun, and in trying to stay within the group, I went faster than I'm used to, but felt quite comfortable! The SBSC is a really nice group of people. Very friendly, and understanding about a first timer.
Went on my first group ride...

Glad you had such fun! I love group rides. Meeting all the new people, but of course, nothing compared to a flock of scooters riding in formation. That was one of my favorite things about Amerivespa - the group was enormous!! I can't remember the exact number but there were 600 scooters at the event and our group ride had over 200 on it I believe. A spectacular sight.
Hope you'll come up and join us for a ride in LA sometime.
