this could be a really dumb question, but I had the dealer mail me my license plate and I need to put it on. What kind of screws do I need?

I am riding to work for the first time tomorrow-wish me luck!

Aren't there already some screws and a dealer plate in the frame on the rear fender?

If not, you can get the screws from any auto shop. I don't know the exact size, but they'll have "license plate screws."

I think "license plate screws" are just machine thread screws without nuts. The plate for the Buddy needs nuts on the ends of the screws / bolts. A machine thread, carrage, or tap bolt will work just fine. You can use a lock washer and wing nut behind the plate. Go to a hardware store, you will have dozens and dozens of options. Just make sure its not to big or it won't fit through the holes on the plate. And not to long....

I registered my scooter myself (bought it out of state in order to get the color I wanted) I went to the hardware store and said what would you recommend. He reached into the bin and handed me some screws, locking washers and nuts and said this is what most motorcycle guys use. If you have a small local hardware store just go in and ask.

I see many with those reflective replacement screws. They are plastic with a little plastic wing nuts. The reflector is about the size of a quarter. I have seen them at the buy-n-large store also.
