I saw that on "The Soup". I thought that was pretty much business as usual for American Idol.

For real, I was thinking, 'is that really him singing that and playing those instruments?' He should stick to that
because I hate to say it bu he's not so great as a late night talk show host. He was good in SNL tho.

I fall asleep to his show because I am a huge fan of The Roots. I even attended an in-studio taping, I'm such a super-fan. But yeah, dude is not funny or an engaging interviewer.

"The General" who preformed this on Idol is a longtime civil rights activist who marched with Dr. King. And, although the song is comical and he is very lighthearted, it still holds a message that seems important for him to share.
