Modern Buddy

You guys can rip me for this post but it was funny. First of all here in Phx, we are supposed to be flooded with some great storm. ive been disk golfing $ scootn in the sun the last two days! So today I roll in the starbucks drive thru, order my crack and pull up. The girl (hottie boombottie) starts literally screaming "He's on a Buddy!" So she comes out with her co -worker and they check out my scoot. Anybody know a Sarah from LA? I guess she had a red 125 in LA and didn't bring it when she moved here. She kinda laughed @ me for a having a 50 but was real quick to ask for a spin so I forked it over after she showed me her old LA liscence. / long story short / So shes cruising over tonight and were gett'n on the evil craigslist to get her scootn again. Shes got around 9 hundo and I just looked and found nothing Genuine in that price range. There are a couple old hondas that will get her where shes goin so i dont know what to tell her!

She wants a Buddy, so I hope you can find one for her. But for 900, I don't know.

Big question is why didn't she just bring her Buddy with her from LA???

Phoenix is so close to LA. She should have brought it. But who knows, maybe she needed the cash to move. Good luck with her

As far as the weather goes, we are in between systems right now (in Tucson, would likely be the same in Phoenix), but the next storm really is supposed to be a real storm, high winds, an inch of rain or more, up to two feet of snow in the higher elevations... So today might be the last ride for a while. Well okay, maybe the last ride for a couple of days.

I know lots of people in the MB world have relationships, and their sig. other likes their scoot, or has one aswell... but I think this is the first reported case of someone picking up someone else as result of their Buddy.

Buddy love is a wonderful thing ehh? (Man I know thats going to end up in the double entendre thread )

Seriously though, there's little chance she'll get a Buddy for $900. Especially in Phx where there's no off season for people to get depressed and sell their scoots in. Get a Honda Spree, or something like that. They're awesome scoots and can be had in that price range.

I gotta good woman at home lol, so it wasn't a love story, my lady is gonna be here when she comes over. But it is look'n like a honda if she doesnt want to wait and save some more cash. There is a buddy here kinda cheap buts its 50cc , so we'll see.

Hmmm, the fact that she's not currently on a Buddy Scooter doesn't mean that she doesn't lurk on the forum.... Do you think she'll consider it a complement to be called a "hottie boombottie"?

Never thought of that, but i planned on showing her MB tonight. i think its all good.

Shoot, there were a couple 125's up here for only a grand, but I can't find them anymore...

The only pick-up me and my Buddy experienced was several fiends trying to pick it up and carry it off (unsuccessfully, thank God ).

The one thing your new friend might want to consider is getting a new Buddy and financing through dealership or bank or something. I thought Genuine financing promo was still going on?

Just a smidge creepy

I was at the local *$'s tonight on the Buddy 50, taking in the clouds after work. I had a thread about how many people comment on the Buddy when I'm at bucks. Also, I picked up my 2008 Buddy Italia 50 for $1K. about 6 months ago. That's in CA, so just keep hitting Craigslist and keep your fingers crossed. If she want a Buddy, don't settle for anything else, or she'll just be bummed.

She's here right now guys, we're watchin american idol. Nice post rsrider, that looks like the plan. & its ok pugbuddy, she read our posts & said it was a compliment, but my lady is pokin a lil fun @ me now.

Not really. Well, about 30 million plus DVR viewing and streaming online. But aside from those, no one really watches it.

My sentiments exactly. Whenever I feel the need to witness people humiliating themselves, I walk around to the nearest ATM and watch the technologically-challenged morph a 30-second transaction into a 15 minute ordeal.

A close second is watching that segment of the cashier population that goes into vapor lock when they have to make change without the assistance of a "smart" register.
