Looking for a carb.

Post by jdmarzan »

Can anyone give me advice as to what carb is good for my buddy 50. Im looking at a 19mm with automatic choke. If you have any insight as to what would better suit my 50 please let me know. Thanks. Personal experiences too would be great.

if your bike is stock the stock carb is perfect

when doing performance mods the last thing you will want to change is the carb . do a cylinder kit 'pipe 'rollers and a clutch /spring kit first then maybe if you want more go with a bigger carb ,

I agree totally. A carb is not a good first (or second or third) modification.
My 125 is VERY modded and VERY fast. I'm still running the stock carb. I've jetted it up, but its still the original one.

Oh ok. Well right now I have the polini corsa cylinder on. I also got (but not installed):

Malossi Variator.
Malossi 1500k clutch springs.
Leo Vince Exhaust.
Thinking of doing some mild porting on the cylinder.

Hence the reason why I asked for help on a carb.
