Tender wires

For those of you who charge your battery without removing it from the bike what do you do with the leads to the Tender after you are done charging? I have leads that look hard-wired into the bike, to be used with the Tender (I do not, I take out the battery when I want to charge it). Now that battery is back in the scooter, what about those loose leads? Do I just tuck them into complartmet carefully? I am assuming they are not "live" unless hooked up to the tender/electricity and they are not, so what to do with them?

If they are hard wired to your battery, they are live. Not a big deal if you keep the end of the plug covered.

On my old buddy (pre 12volt outlet) I hard wired my tender then ran the wire up through the "door" inside the pet carrier. I then hung it from the helmet pegs. When it was time to charge, just pop the seat and plug her in.

On my new buddy, I just use the 12volt accessory outlet.

What I have is round leads and regular square leads. The connection port to tender wire on those round leads is covered (just like on a tender when you hook up round leads on the. It took me the longest time to figure out what exactly those were because all of the scooters I saw at my dealers did not have that kind of leads. He said they were For the Tender. I initially not knowing what they were connected then on top of the square leads. N thing bad happened, the scooter started and ran but to be on a cautious side I disconnected them and only left square leads in place. I tucked the Tender leads in the empty spaces around the battery and away from each other. This is what it looks like inside my scooter before battery went back in.
