When I purchased my new buddy 150 I got the free topcase as part of the accessories package. the bike runs great but the topcase rattles. I adjusted the closing mechanism and the case closes tight but still rattles when riding.
Any suggestion on how to quiet it down? I thought about a rubber gasket etc. but looking to see if anyone had thesame problem and a fix.
Thanks.

I'd check to see that it's tightly mounted to the rack first. That's the most likely source of he noise. I'd try remounting it and using some Loctite on the bolts.
There are some people who've used small strips of rubber where the case rests on the rack to help prevent vibration.

I bought some rubber gasket material - comes in a sheet, dirt cheap at the local hardware store, and cut it in to the right sized strips to put between the metal of my rear rack and the metal of the top case assembly. It allows for a better bond between the two and cuts down on vibration a great deal. I've had no rattles. I'll try to remember to post a pic...

Old inner tube works great too....

Another source of the top case rattling noise is the plastic top section of the case bumping against the plastic bottom section of the case. On my top case, even when the case appears to be tightly closed there is still a little bit of play between the top and bottom sections. One way to dampen the rattling noise from the plastic top on the plastic bottom is to put screen spline between the top and the bottom. You can get the screen spline in the windows/screen section of most hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc…). The screen spline is a small rubber tubing that you can insert in the grooved gutter around the rim of the bottom case section and the screen spline provides a shock absorbing barrier between the plastic top and the plastic bottom.
