I had problems a few months back when my Kymco Super 8 150 wouldn't start, struggled using electric start, and battery kept draining. I got a new battery per the recommendations of the shop, and a charger, Battery Tender Junior, but, lately, even after the light glowed green and I unplugged it, after two or three days it would barely turn over. Had to push it at one point a mile back home, must have flooded the scoot. I'm sure there must be a current drain somewhere (short). Anyone else experience similar symptoms? Time to take it back to the shop? Afraid to go far away and be stuck pushing 247 pounds down the road again.

1. Clean the batter posts and the wire ends. Then make sure they are bolted tightly to one another. You might also look for the battery ground cable which is the (-) wire from your battery and should mount on the engine somewhere make sure you have a clean and tight connection.
2. If all that and not charging. Have your battery load (stress) tested at Battery Plus or other place that sells batteries.
3. All clean and tight and battery tests good. Take the scooter to a dealer and have them check you charging system.
My wife's Buddy didn't start after work last year only to find the battery wires weren't tight. Always try the easiest and cheapest fixes first. Good Luck.

There is a charging system recall on the Super 8 150. Tell your dealer to check the dealer section of the Kymco website.
Thanks, Mike!

Contacted my dealer and informed his shop to check out the recall info and get back to me. Really like my scoot. Hope to get her back ready to tackle a nice long ride!
