Thanx, that was pretty cool. Its nice to know that I havn't forgotten everything that I learned in the MSF course I did miss one sign and two perception questions though, and you only have to miss one in the real world to get squished like a bug

Thanks for the post, Rob. It's always nice to be reminded, as the perception tests do, that you have to constantly be scanning for possible dangers. Since I ride almost exclusively in the country some of those perception questions literally overloaded my brain. Took a couple of run throughs to be able to process so much input quickly. I'm going to return to that quiz frequently!

Well... according to that, I'm good to go for a ride. The Cream Stout bottle next to my keyboard tells a slightly different story. Good thing I've nowhere to be (also, happy St Patrick's Day).

Those are actually some neat tests, no matter when you last rode. I'm a firm believer in keeping skills and coordination sharp.

I am a little confused as to the importance of being able to immediately recognize a propane refilling station... even though I was able to. That reminds me... I need to check my grill....

Good point. That's one of the ways I try to maintain full my full attention while riding. I keep on reminding myself it only takes one mistake.

You're welcome. Although I live in a very urban area, I enjoy country riding much more and spend much of my riding time there. That presents a different set of hazards in itself. More gravel, some blocked views at intersections by high corn fields (later in the year ... remember, I'm in the midwest), occasional rough road surfaces, occasional surprise horse or cow leftovers in the road, etc.

I prefer green beer for my celebrations.

I didn't understand the propane filling station myself ... but I'm good to go if and when I ever come across one of those.

I don't think you're going to be squished if you miss one - at least on the signs test. We don't have HOV lanes (or signs) here. And I've never in my life heard of reverse curves. But since there was no 'buses only' option I got that one right, and my scooter doesn't have reverse so I'm going through those curves forward-like anyway.
