I love you guys!
I'd like to take this opportunity to say something that could get said more often - skulduggery is SO rare here, I think I take us for granted. To the mods, thanks, always, for doing such a great job. To the members of the community, you're all stellar. Even when this stuff does happen, it seems to wither and die off and be forgotten about in less than the time it takes Daisy to warm up before a ride. MB should be used as an example to disprove all the "internet-anonymity-breeds-jerks" online community naysayers.
I say it every time I start to well up like this, but this forum is what finally tipped the scales and made me a scootist. Karma, mitzvah, good samaritanism, whatever - there's some darn good energy in you folks' favor.

Group Hug??? but I thought we were badass bikers
I do have to say that with few exceptions, the MB set rocks!
The Motorcycle Repair instructors at work have been trying to get me away from scooters and onto "a real bike". They're good guys but they certainly don't understand why I choose to ride a scooter. In part its the people in the community who keep me a scooter freak. Even if I do eventualy get a motorcycle I'd be a scooter freak on a motorcycle

Thanks folks. Sometimes it's hard to tell if we're doing the right thing. Especially when you're accused of account hi-jacking, failing miserably at my job at Genuine as the internet/scooter FAQ maker (which, by the way isn't real, lmfao), or just being a jerk.
I'll concede to that last one, but I'm a (generally) well mannered jerk and most times, I at least try to add levity or at least objectivity to a thread. I actually thought I was being diplomatic in the most recent... what ever the hell it was.
Here's to good weather, low ethanol gas, filled pot-holes, sand free sweeping roads, and lower electric bills.
Go get an oil change!

I would like to express my thanks to the members, who really make this forum so great.
I would also like to express my appreciation for the word "skulduggery."

I love you guys!
Yes, this is indeed an awesome forum:
* Moderators that actively participate, as well as moderate.
* Mods gurus that unselfishly share their know-how, with no hint of condescension.
* Loads of other folks sharing info, tips, and experiences.
* Honest critique when asked for (and even sometimes when not!
)
* Cool map so you can see how many others are around your area.
and much more!
This is the only website I regularly contribute to. I wouldn't do that if I thought there'd be nothing but nasty comments, like on some of the forums I have stumbled across (no, I'm not thinking of any particular forum). It's really nice to have a place you can come to vent about something that happened during your ride, lose yourself in a new thread, or get an answer to "what could be causing that weird noise or vibration" on your scooter.
Thanks everyone!

Oh man, WE are at fault?weezool wrote:a BIG THANKS to all that have helped me become the scooterist that i am

This IS a great place. There are a lot of us who have the same story here- reading around on this board pushed us to make the final jump into scooters. It's been a great resource for new riders, and a great community for seasoned ones for a long time now. Of course it helps that it's focused on a great line of scooters. Thanks to Eric for making sure it runs well, and thanks for the membership for largely taking care of any/all skullduggery without much help needed from the mods.
I think this most recent skullduggery is just a signal that spring is on the way and it's soon time for everyone to RIDE!!

Good job mods.
Anachronism, I'm sorry your thread went the way it did. Your original post was hilarious.
And I apologize to all for coming out from under my rock and being such an ass in recent days, but sheesh, I couldn't take it.
I am going back under my rock now (to play with my Stella).

Totally agreed. We have admin that are involved and active participating, we have mods that provide guidance and participate as well, all are also humans that don't act like they are "all that" (as my daughter puts it with a toss of her head). This keeps everyone real and I really appreciate that.BuddyLicious wrote:Not to mention the Mods here don't let their status and power go to their head and act like asshole cops. Also this is truly one of the rare forums where everyone gets along almost 100% time.A gem indeed, heck I think I'll go out and get me a new 4T Stella to celebrate!
As for the regular folk, MB is an amazing place to be and I am happy to call it "home". I love that I can come here and ask even dumb questions and know that I am not going to get some condescending ass poking fun at me and telling me that if I don't know the answer (or understand the answer

Thanks,

Yesterday I wore the mesh jacket to work in the morning, took out the liner when I rode to the lake for a lunchtime walk, and took off the jacket itself and left it on the scoot for the walk.ericalm wrote:Soon time? Today there's a blanket of snow all over the grass.
